Just gotta say how excited I am to see this finished.. Please, let's get together soon (all of us!) and talk about the film or something. Are you open to that? I know a lot of us still feel really attached to the process (because of this website of course! :) ...)

This rough throw together looks clean and the timing of each cut is really nice (except for one shot of Allison that lingered a bit long. again, I don't care for the shot anyway because it seems weird in continuity.)

You guys showed some really neat shots that I didn't even know you got during filming! Pleasantly surprising..! Thanks for showing us these little bits, although I know you guys are holding back the real goods... (obviously, why wouldn't you?)

I think it's a good idea to hold close the input of people close to the film. There are several sets of positive, helpful eyes..so don't be discouraged by people who purposely trash this process just to get you down. That's just not classy. Mostly everyone on here is able to critique without being an asshole, but there's always that one or two.

Some thangz:

Could you use the audio of Michael F. when he says "Fuck you!" but switch the visual to the other Mike or both of them or something? It would enhance the performance of both of them. Although, I don't think it's bad how it is at all, I just wonder what it would look like a different way.

Do you have a better shot of me trying to open the second door? At first I thought it was alright, but at least two other people think it looks "contrived" (and I have to be honest, the second door was always weird to me.. I think I needed a bigger running start for that one.. lol.)

I think you should scrap the "where the fuck is she line?" if you plan to use that sequence of them looking through the house (which I think is cool. Get really creative with the editing though if you can.)

You guys are really talented. There are a LOT of people that are excited to see the film!

Love,
me

wow...I just reread my comment and it doesn't really make sense, there. With the first scene, I thought there was too much running, but it's way better now. I think that the first part of what I said was the only confusing part. I am friends with you, Anthony Thompson, and your lovely wife. I've met Jerry White. I'm just a friend supporting a friend. :) Keep up the good work!!

Hey guys. I think I saw some rougher cuts of those scenes, and I gotta say at first I thought there was too much running, with the barn door, and the glove hand scene? The second scene where the two guys are in the abandoned house (sorry I don't really know names), there seems to be way too much musical "excitement" about shorter guy who doesn't know tools almost falling into the floor. It seemed a bit overdone, unless he's falling into a pile of intestines. Overall, I think the look is much better than what I saw in the beginning, but I got some sneak peeks before. In any case, I'm much impressed with the improvement, thus far. Great job guys, from your #1 Supporter!!!!

Sorry about the Wobbly Cam. My new stand reacts to any movement on my desk and that translates to the camera.

He there. I have to say that I personally have seen very few local films that are even worth sitting through. I believe you've have the potential to make a pretty worthwhile film. The lighting (color correction if any) was great along with the cinematography and framing. I also like that you narrowed the depth of field in the rear view mirror shot, it was probably the best shot section of the clip. I have to say I laughed at the end when he says "where the fuck is she?" after they been walking around nonchalantly. The scene with the man and the glove was not very intense of moving for me either. I think you're creative enough add more suspense. After all though it is just a "rough cut". I would like to see the finished thing but I will probably forget to see what happens with this film :). Good Luck

Wow,
Who's that Katey McDoucheNozzle fellow who commented above?

Anyways,
I know you guys have mentioned scoring that is going to be done. How much input are you going to have over the style of music and the kind of instruments used? I always consider the music to be significantly important, and am just curious how much collaboration there will be with it.

not bad but not much there either to give much of a critique. like seeing the chic in the mirror run off. creepy. I agree the second shaking of the door looked contrived and might want to consider scaling back the soundtrack a bit as well. looking forward to more..
